What were the accommodations like?
I never thought of going to spend a week away, yet staying so close to the gold coast. After visiting Breakfree Paradiso in Kingscliff, I was so eager to go back and spend time there.
Kingscliff is about a one hour drive by car from Surfers Paradise. The moment you walk through the reception, you will be taken away by the water features and how calm and relaxed it is. On the way to your unit, you will feel like you’re in Bali, except it is a lot more elegant and sophisticated. The unit is Bali-themed, from the décor right through to the bathroom.

There is an extensive selection of restaurants and cafés and alfresco or indoor dining. You can expect to dine in Nepalese restaurants, alfresco cafés with an international influence, a Hong Kong café, and the list goes on. Fresh sandwiches and bread rolls freshly baked at the bakery filled with delicious varieties of meat and salads will satisfy your taste buds on a nice lazy, sunny afternoon. There are great cafés offering extensive menus, with prices ranging from $5 to $25.
Alternatively you can buy your own groceries and cook in the comfort of your own unit using the latest and the finest utensils. The kitchen and dining areas are so spacious and elegant.
I dined at Dots by the Sea, which is an alfresco café popular with locals and visitors alike. The menu is extensive, with so many varieties. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was casual, which fit in perfectly with the location of the resort. The beach is just a block from the front.
