Watsons Bay
There are several ways to get out to Watson's Bay. You can take a ferry, drive, take the Bondi Explorer (Blue Bus), or, as I did, take a weekend cruise on Captain Cook's Explorer ship. We arrived there on a very rainy and chilly Saturday morning via tender off the ship. A steep climb up the ferry dock and a few minutes wait for a break in the rain and we were off to climp up to the Gap. Long famous as a place of suicides, especially during hard economic times, the Gap is actually on the outer range of hills that separate Sydney Harbour from the vast southern ocean. Fierce tides and nasty currents make this a very dangerous, but extremely beautiful area.
