"We stayed at Terranora Resort in a valley view room. When you book ask for a top floor of the bottom set of units as they have uninterrupted views of the valley. The resort is next to a golf course for a challenging game. Seafood in the area is excellent and not too expensive. Go for a drive to picturesque Springbrook National Park, and include a visit to the Natural Bridge.
Another good drive is to Mount Warning and the hike to the top is worth it on a clear day. Recommend you hire a boat to explore the river and do a spot of fishing.
Quick tips/suggestions
Great food can be be had at the Seagulls Club. Hire a buggy for the golf, the course is quite mountainous. Scales for fresh seafood and they can cook the fish for you too.
Best Way to Get Around (i.e. walking, driving, taxis, public transportation etc.) The resort has a shuttle service, but this is restrictive and doesn't allow you explore the surrounding multitute of National parks. Plus the resort is located five minutes drive from shops and restruants. Best to hire a car."
